I co-founded and conceptualised Periuk, a platform to archive Malaysian heritage recipes. After identifying a gap in the documentation of cuisines outside of majority races in Malaysia, my project partner and I decided to feature stories and recipes from all communities including Bornean and indigenous groups. My team and I work on all editorial production, design, and photography. We also work with a vast network of contributors and freelancers. In my capacity as Periuk editor, I have spoken about building an inclusive food platform and the importance of Asian food media avoiding the 'white gaze'. Listen to the conversation on the Singapore Noodles podcast, or to this one on BFM Radio, Malaysia's leading talkback radio station.

I co-wrote a short play called 'Where's the Brownie?' that was chosen to be staged at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre as part of the Short+Sweet Festival. Set during the Hungry Ghost Festival, the play centres two 'ghost' characters navigating race relations in Malaysia by way of humour and food. My writing partner and I picked up a 'Best Newcomer' award for our script.

I wrote a piece that was chosen to be published in a book of essays titled 'Stories From The City: Rediscovering Kuala Lumpur'. My essay was about the historic Coliseum Cinema in Kuala Lumpur that was unfortunately shuttered to make way for development.

Baking is deeply therapeutic to me. While I don't have an official home-based business, I do sell baked goods—cakes, tarts, pies, ice cream, and bread—to anyone in my circle who asks nicely. I also served a short stint as a baker at my favourite bakery, Mother Dough. Most of my baked items are channeled towards the friendly uncle manning the laundromat beneath my flat.
